Thanks again, readers

Evidently we’re not a fluke or a statistical aberration.

For the second month in a row – just our second month in existence – The Gun Writer is the most visited blog at the Herald-Tribune.

I’d like to start by thanking Peter Burlingame, who juggles a full time job as a firearms instructor to write for this site.

Peter and I would like to thank you, the readers, for making this site a success.

He sent this note from his tropical island home:

“I don’t know if you realize how BIG this is. A main stream media newspaper took the gamble to host a gun blog. That was a huge step for them. And you, the readers, have proven to them that the gamble was worthwhile. Now, we have established a beachhead. Let’s consolidate our position and push forward. Share this blog with as many people as you can. As readership grows, so does our voice. And we all know how important that is given the current political climate.”

I concur.

If there’s something you’d like to see covered, let me know. If you have a gun related event, let me know. If you have a gun-related question, I’ll do my best to find an answer.

If you’d like to write for this site, email me or call my cell (941) 284-8553. Frankly, the more voices the better, and we can always use more help.

Finally, I need to thank Bill Church, the H-T’s new executive editor, for green-lighting this site, cutting through the bureaucracy and making it happen.

Thanks, Bill.
