Much misinformation is circulating about SB-544 by Sen. Wilton Simpson/HB-523 by Rep. Jamie Grant — a bill to allow Florida’s Tax Collectors to assist citizens in submitting applications for Concealed Weapons and Firearms Licenses.

As sometimes happens, people shoot off their mouths without having a clue what they’re talking about.  In this case people obviously haven’t read the bill.  Click here to read the bill:

So, it was with great amusement and joy when we saw the article by Lee Williams with the Sarasota Herald-Tribune that debunked the false information and laid out what the bills really does.
