Sarasota spared the brunt of Hurricane Irma

We’re getting reports of minor wind damage throughout the downtown area. There are downed trees and lots of tree debris, but there are no reports of any major flooding.

We’re sending reporters into the field to assess damages.

Sarasota was spared the brunt of Irma. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who were not.
