Black Dagger Military Hunt Club raising funds for Sarasota deputy’s diabetic daughter

Tampa Bay’s Black Dagger Military Hunt Club Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides “shooting, hunting, fishing, and other outdoor opportunities for veterans and active duty military (wounded and well).”

In actuality, they do a hell of a lot more.

When we ran a powerful story about Sophia Helme, the diabetic daughter of a Sarasota County Deputy whose family is raising money to buy her a diabetic alert dog so the young lady can have enough independence to attend college,  Black Dagger’s president Dave Winters didn’t even ask how he could help.

Dave Winters

He just helped.

That’s typical of Dave, and typical of Black Dagger.

Dave’s got a fundraiser for Sophia on Black Dagger’s Facebook page, and he’s  offering two very special prizes.

To enter the Facebook raffle, simply go to his page and click the donate button.

You can win an American Flag that was carried to the summit of Mt. Everest by Army Special Forces SGM Karim Mella, or a “Gurkha” cigar box that’s been modified into a military challenge coin holder AND a one-of-a-kind 30th Anniversary SOCOM coin.

They’re both fantastic prizes.

Thanks, Dave, and thanks Black Dagger Military Hunt Club!
