There’s an interesting phenomenon going on in Massachusetts, which on Feb. 1 criminalized possession of Bump Fire stocks.
Even though the statute has serious penalties — up to 20 years in prison upon conviction — few are complying.
Massachusetts Bump Fire stock owners are defying the law.
To date, only three people have surrendered their contraband stocks to Massachusetts State Police, as directed by a scary letter sent Dec. 18 to all registered gun owners — those whom the Crown deemed worthy of a Firearms ID Card and/or a firearms license.
This is a nightmare for the other team.
They’ve got to be very nervous.
What will happen if the citizenry ignores other imperial orders? What happens if voters defy other tyrannical laws, which overnight turn thousands of people into felons?
My God, there could be freedom breaking out among the oppressed populace, which elected officials have so far managed to keep under their collective thumb.
It is not lost on me that this defiance to authority occurred in Massachusetts where, you’ll recall, they like their coffee black and their tea in the harbor.
I hope this type of passive resistance infects folks in other non-free states where tyranny is commonplace and accepted by the sheeple.
It sends a strong message to the banners and infringers: “Whatever you do is moot. We will not comply.”
This, folks, should trend.
