In an open letter, Florida Carry Inc. asks legislature to eliminate gun-free zones, arm teachers

Lee’s note: Florida Carry Inc. has sent a open letter to the Florida Legislature asking lawmakers for emergency legislation to end gun-free zones, and to train and allow teachers and select school personnel to carry concealed firearms in schools.

  1. Incoming Sen. President Bill Galvano (R) is already looking at pushing a Bump Stock Ban, making Florida CCW Permit Holders lose their exemption from the Waiting Period, making all long gun purchases go through a waiting period, and raise the age of long gun purchases 21.

    Sen. Steube (R) and Baxley (R) chickened out and pulled the Campus Carry bill from committee. It was to be voted on today (Feb 20, 2018)

    Sen. Marco Rubio stated on CBS 4 Miami Morning Show with Jim DeFede that he supports SB-530. A Gun Restraining Order bill that was authored by Democrat Sen. Audrey Gibson.

    Florida Republican Mega Donor Al Hoffman Jr. said he won’t spend a single penny on any Pro Gun Republican candidates.
