I’m not worried about getting assaulted by ducks, Joe

An excerpt from Joe Biden’s gun control plan: “THE BIDEN PLAN TO END OUR GUN VIOLENCE EPIDEMIC.”

Federal law prevents hunters from hunting migratory game birds with more than three shells in their shotgun. That means our federal law does more to protect ducks than children. It’s wrong. Joe Biden will enact legislation to once again ban assault weapons. This time, the bans will be designed based on lessons learned from the 1994 bans. For example, the ban on assault weapons will be designed to prevent manufacturers from circumventing the law by making minor changes that don’t limit the weapon’s lethality. While working to pass this legislation, Biden will also use his executive authority to ban the importation of assault weapons.

Once again a presidential candidate uses a flawed hunting analogy to justify trying to infringe on our God-given rights.

There’s so much wrong with this statement, I don’t even know where to begin. It’s a specious argument, at best. There’s no comparison between federal fur, fish and game statutes and the right to self defense.

It is interesting that Biden references the 1994 “assault weapon” ban, but he overlooks the Gun-Free School Zone Act of 1990, which he personally introduced in the Senate.

Given the carnage associated with gun-free school zones, I guess he didn’t want his name associated with that.

I can’t say I blame him.
